How Social Media Generates ROI

In order to determine how social media generates a return on investment, it’s necessary to rethink ROI. Social media isn’t just a tool for promotions and acquisitions, it’s also a valuable asset for customer retention and should be considered a building block in your marketing strategies.

An important thing to consider is this: what “return” are you looking for ? Value doesn’t always equal revenue. In the digital age, social media should be a prerequisite - if you’re not online, you’re falling behind. Investing in social media generates value in a number of ways:

Exposure

Social media is about content. Putting your content out there means it’s always out there, and your message is available to loyal and potential customers alike. Social media is also scalable - when you post content, whether it’s a tweet, a blog, or a Facebook post, it’s immediately visible to everyone, and continues to be while you carry on with your day. Small effort, big reward.

Engagement

How are people interacting with your content? Clicks, likes, shares, and comments are all valuable. A good way to measure your success is tracking what your audience interacts with and what they don’t, and adjusting your future content accordingly. And when people reach out, respond! Engagement works both ways.

Networking

Social media is a tool for conversation. While you can use it as a selling tool, the real value is in the networking. So, drop the sales pitch and start a conversation. People interact with content that’s genuine and real, and that’s good for business.

Retention

Your customers are your best salespeople. Sure, customer acquisition is important, but don’t overlook the value of customer retention as well. Acquiring new customers is far more costly than retaining existing ones. Your social media pages are the face of your business in an online world, and they provide a way for customers to not only reach you, but also get to know you. Interacting with those customers builds trust, and trust brings people back for more.

In today's technological landscape, social media is important to the success of every business. This is especially true for Facebook, one of the most popular social media sites. In order to gain more outreach through your posts, these are the practices that you should adhere to.

Choose a Nice Profile Photo

Everything starts with a nice profile photo. That is often the very first thing that visitors to your page will see. It will also show up in the newsfeed when you are communicating with your visitors. Choose a nice, clean image that doesn't have a lot of clutter around it. You can use your business logo or storefront image, for example.

Have a Consistent Posting Strategy

To market successfully through Facebook, you must have a consistent posting strategy. Think about the kind of identity that you would like your page to have. Once you are able to tell what content attracts the most people, focus on posting more of that type of content. Always think ahead and plan out your posts in advance.

Use Facebook Ads to Your Advantage

Ads are an important part of a successful Facebook marketing campaign. You may have to invest some money in ads, but you will have an easier time identifying potential customers as a result.

Use Hashtags

Hashtags can help you gain momentum through expanding your reach to people who are viewing your post. However, avoid using hashtags in every post; it is important to be selective.

  Post Photos

The world is more image-driven today than it has ever been. Images are easy to view, and they quickly capture our attention. Photos and other graphics should be a significant part of your posting strategy.

Show Your Personality

Your page does not have to be completely business-oriented. You can talk about current events and give your thoughts and opinions about them. This will help personalize your page and allow visitors to connect with your personality. Treat your visitors with kindness and be sure to show empathy. When you are replying to someone, be sure to use that person's first name. These are small details, but they can make a huge difference.

If you follow these practices, you can substantially increase the effectiveness of your Facebook page. Have questions or need help getting started? The team at BluPhoenix is always happy to hear from you. Contact one of our Digital Marketing Strategists today !

Anyone can make one:
For better or worse, anyone can write a blog post about anything they want. Everyone has a voice and the best voices will rise to the top.

The writer can show their personality:
In blog posts, the writer has more leeway to add in their voice and personality than other types of writing.

Blogs are a great form of mass communication:
You can help people, learn new things, entertain your audience—the possibilities are endless and amazing. Blogging opens up all of these to a very wide audience.

You can make money:

Get the right blog going and you can make a lot of money through advertising and sponsored posts.

It brings people back to your site:

If your blog is strong enough and updated regularly, people will come back looking for more and bring traffic back to your site as well.

It’s free:
It costs you a grand total of zero dollars to post to the blog, so if you have something to say, there’s nothing to stop you.

You can establish yourself as a thought leader:
